Rain and rain everywhere that gets us pure water from the sky to us but also many diseases that tend to destroy the immune power of the human body therefore we require natural medicine.
Diseases like viral fever, dengue, malaria, diarrhoea,
typhoid and many more effect the body in such a way that the blood count goes
low; the person has to get admitted in hospital under medical surveillance.
So today I am sharing with you a ritual that my mother
starts practicing right before the rainy season on a regular basis. This has
not only put my family away from the harmful diseases but also has helped our
immune get stronger.
Here are five natural medicine that my mom grows and uses in our home:-
Tulsi is a natural medicine. Tusli is one of the main cures for many diseases. Growing it in your homes will help the air get purify the air from unwanted bacteria that cause the simple cold and cough. Tulsi is what my mom asks us to start our day with. We take one leaf of tulsi and drink it with one glass of warm water and also mix a leaf in the food being prepared in the home.
request you to please do this as tulsi does not only kill the bacteria’s and
other disease carrying agents present in the air but also when we consume it,
it purifies our entire body and increases our immune. The warm water helps
tulsi leaf to give out its energy.
is a flowering plant that belongs to the family of root plates such as the
ginger. This is considered to be one of the most nutritious that humans
consume. Science and other studies have proven that it has a major beneficial
impact on our body and brain.
India haldi can be used as a solution for end number of problems. When somebody
gets a cut on the body and blood doesn’t stop flowing then we put turmeric on
the area which prevents the area to be protected from infections. During the
Indian marriage there is a ritual where we apply the haldi paste on the bride
and groom as it is considered that haldi makes us look beautiful.
contains bioactive compounds with many unbelievable medicinal properties. Hence
my mother boils the haldi in water and asks us to have the water. The hot water
consisting of haldi prevents the body from cold and also does not allow viruses
and bacteria to enter the body.
is one such tree that can be completely used for medication. Neem is that
bitter leave that many diabetic people consume on a daily basis. This tree is
also religiously prayed and is thanked by all the humans to keep them safe from
may incurable diseases.
back to the rituals that my mom follows is that she every day in the morning
breaks a fresh stem from the tree and brushes here teeth in a way our ancestors
used to do. This allows our teeth to be strong.
She also prefers eating the leaf raw and makes medicines for plates to
be free from the pest.
has made a powder of dried neem and put this powder on hot burning charcoal
with a drop of ghee in the night and takes stroll of the house with it. This
process cleans the air and kills the mosquitos (Cause of dengue and malaria)
present in the house and does not let other mosquitos to enter into the house.
This is a natural medicine and root that can easily be grown in our kitchen garden within 2-3 weeks. Ginger has many health benefits and medicinal benefits also. In India ginger is widely used as a spice in tea, curries and also in pickles. Ginger soaked in lime juice for about a month is very beneficial for the digestion and intestine system.
consists of gingerol that can cure many nausea and morning sickness. I like
ginger in my morning tea as it gives a very fresh breeze and energy to kick
start your day. Many dieticians also suggest people to have ginger as a part of
their diet plan. This is also a good way to bring the hangover in control.
in our family is taken in form of pickles and also in form of dry powder. I
still remember when I was a child my mom always gave me dry ginger powder mixed
with honey during my cold and cough days, but today I take ginger juice raw.
The raw juice gives the throat a little burning sensation but once in cures
every problem of the body. One thing I will suggest is and is also important is
the do not take in a lot of ginger in a day as it had a lot of heat and can
cause loose motions or even piles.
This is an edible and sour
fruit that can be eaten raw or can even be cooked. This fruit has some
symbolisation with the religion of Buddhism. It is believed that Great emperor
Ashoka gave half of awala as a final gift to the Buddhist sangha.
This fruit is used for the
wellbeing of the entire body that is from the tip of the hair to the nail of
the toe. This is majorly used in shampoos, toothpaste, tea powder, etc. But
most commonly awala is used to help the digestion process go on with ease.
I have found that most of the
diseases have originated from the stomach and hence we need to look after our
stomach with care and also let the immune of the digestions units to group.
Awala is one such ingredient that helps the digestives organs increase the
power and immune.
Please take a jar of water
and in that add 10 leaves of tulsi and 5 leaves of neem and if available 5
leaves of aegle marmelos to that jar of water and drink this water on a regular
basis to avoid harmful diseases to reach you.
